When an Audience Exists | Serena Tse | The Draftery
In this series of studies, it is difficult to distinguish between plans, sections, obliques, and perspectives. Often times a drawing appears to be two forms of representation at once - simultaneously a perspective down a corridor and a plan of some new place. Along with exploiting the additive juxtaposition of collage, Serena Tse’s vignette’s are paired with short written descriptions. Considering these two elements together, Tse’s drawing method evokes the same potential overlaps and viewer participation she desires for the design of The Invisible Theater.
